Mobile installation developed together with De Zuidpoort vzw and supported by Design Museum Gent.

The project grew out of a simple question: how can design support the important work of social workers and help bring citizens closer to decision-making?

Together with De Zuidpoort, we developed a colourful burger bike trailer based on their work with people in vulnerable situations and their Beste Burger methodology for inclusive policy participation.

After sketching, prototyping and testing different ideas together with participants, I designed and coordinated a mobile installation that travels through the city and invites people to share their opinions through playful methods.

It might look cute from afar but underneath is a serious ambition: making democracy more open and accessible.
A woman riding a bicycle with a large frozen drink cart attached to the back. The woman is smiling, wearing sunglasses and a black shirt. The cart has a sign that says 'Yes, we deliver' and a big ice cream cone prop on top with a red sign that says 'Hamburger'. There is bushes and a fence in the background.
